Committee Charge

The maintenance and safety committee concentrates on maintenance and safety objectives and related items as they arise.  The committee will meet “as needed”

 

Committee Responsibilities

  • Regularly assess maintenance and safety needs throughout the community and ensure all aspects are maintained and in working order.
  • The property/community manager will serve as the primary point of contact for owners/renters and will address routine needs. The manager will also be expected to maintain an inventory and running list of needs/projects.
  • The Chair and members of the committee will work with the manager to provide advice as needed and regular review of outstanding priorities.
  • The committee will assist as needed in developing more substantive solutions and recommendations for board approval on those items that exceed agreed upon thresholds requiring additional approval.
  • Work with the property/community manager to ensure routine inspection of fire safety equipment and recommend upgrades as needed to the board and owners.
  • Identify and address other safety and security issues as necessary.
